Welcome to our newly constructed family website about our Dad's proud playing career and

35 years service with Sunderland AFC. The website will be developed over the coming months

to cover Arthur's 35 year career at our beloved Sunderland football club

 

Arthur is believed to be the clubs longest serving one club man, making

280 first team appearances either side of WW2.

 

From making his first team debut in 1938 and going on to play his last league game

for the Lads at Bramall Lane in 1955 at the  age of 35,  he then stayed

with the club as part of the backroom staff for a further 14 years.
